Spongification
Sunday, November 30th, 2003So the main thing that God was showing me this time was how I am becoming a sponge. I call this process Spongification - the process of desiring the filling up of God and His Word, in essence a sponge of God. It echoed in my head like a 10 foot tall gong. First it came up while listening to the song, Soak It Up, where it talks about how easy it is to become discontented with life, but that we should take every moment that God has given and soak it up. Then from that song came another idea for photo-scripture, to show a sponge before submersion and after (using Matt 5:6). Then when I got to the church office for Sunday night study, I was just so incredibly thirsty for the Word of God, I actually felt like that sponge.
